Hi there! i’m katelyn.

Hello, and welcome to the KJ Blog! I'm Katelyn James, and my husband Michael and I are a wedding photography team based in Richmond, Virginia. We hope you grab some coffee (or a diet coke, in my case) and enjoy viewing our latest work, browsing resources for photographers, and getting a little peek into our life!  Read more...

Brand Boosters

  • Good Things

me that other day that “You haven’t done a “Good Things” post is SO LONG”. Well, apparently Michael likes those posts… or maybe he just likes consistency (which is KEY to blogging well). Either way, I’m thankful for his input and I decided to blog about some “Good things” that have become great BRAND BOOSTERS!  When I say “Brand Boosters”… I’m talking about things that people notice and say “Ohh that’s cool, is that your logo!?” or  “How did you find that in your shade of TEAL?!”.  Did you know I have my own shade of TEAL? Everyone talks about TEAL like I own that color…. and I would like to think that I do.

  • The January Snapshot

Wow!! I should have been more clever in my Friday post and said “See ya next year everyone!!”. I tend to always think about those one liners a day too late.  One thing I DID think about ahead a time was how I wanted to CHANGE my monthly “Goals” post series for 2012. It has become a very common trend for photographers to blog about their “Goals” so I want to change it  up a bit. Instead of just blogging semi-unattainable goals and hoping for the best, I’m going to give you a snapshot of January. I’m going to look at what I have planned for each month and blog about things we’re excited about, goals we have for our personal life,

Oh and.....

  • Happy New Year!!

yesterday that I have hit the age where I don’t really care to be any older. 23 was nice…. why not stay 23? Forever!  24 just sounds so old! (all of you past 30 are rolling your eyes, I know).  I remember being 18 and thinking, “oh my gosh!” I’m not going to be a “teenager” in two years! This is CRAZY!!! Now I’m married and only one year away from being 25?!! That’s halfway to 50!!!!!  Time is flying! And I’m loving life. Really, I’m so thankful for my life and for all that God has given me. He has blessed me in so many ways and I just hope that when people see me, they see Him because nothing else in life matters.
