Richmond Portrait Photography

  • Baby Mason

busy busy busy. We leave for our fall youth retreat and then I leave from the retreat to shoot my second to last weeding of the YEAR! I’m so excited for these last two weddings but I’m also excited for a break! 4 engagement sessions, 1 workshop and 2 weddings to go!  I can see the light!! So today is just a little post for a little man that has stole our hearts. Baby Mason was born on October 23rd and we actually got to see him and hold him on his actual BIRTHDAY! He’s tiny and cute. Michael and I love watching this new phase of like unfold for Seth and Em. The key word there is “watching”. We’re so not in the “baby” phase right now

The Fall Middleburg Wedding | The Briar Patch

  • Matt + Rebekah

I have to apologize. This post is SO late! It’s like 4:30 and I’m just now getting this up! Well, there is a reason it has taken me ALL day to blog this wedding…. I LOVED IT… and I have a million favorites and I really should narrow them down but I just can’t! Matt and Rebekah are such an amazing couple.  I have never shot a wedding where a couple’s family friends were so openly vocal about how these two need to be married! They’re perfect for each other and everyone is aware of that. After their pastor announced that they were officially husband and wife, guests started cheering. People rejoiced with them ALL day and celebrated their new marriage! These two were married on Sunday at the Briar Patch in Middleburg, VA.

The University of Richmond Wedding | Richmond Wedding Photographer

October is NOT supposed to be 40 degrees! Burrrrrrr! Where did that cold streak come from?! It was freezing in VA this past weekend, mostly on Saturday. I woke up and saw it sleeting outside.  My immediate thought was “PORTRAIT TIME?! WHAT WILL I DO?!!”.  And because Michael is much more calm than I am, he was smart enough to check the weather and found out that the rain was supposed to stop around the time portraits would begin…. and that’s exactly what happened. However, it was still FREEZING!! After the ceremony, the bridal party loaded up into their giant stretch Escalade and headed to University of Richmond where almost all of them went to school.
