Momma

  • 10.10.10 Thank You's

is dedicated to my momma.  Momma never worked when we were growing up. She was a stay at home mom.  She never missed my cheering at football games and never had to skip Emy’s softball games and is STILL making it to all of Corey’s golf matches.  I don’t think I appreciated her being a home as much as I should have because it was all I had ever known. I never had to ride the bus, I never had to stay at a babysitters and I never had to wonder whether or not my parents would be showing up for the honor assemblies or not….. they were both just always there.

  • 10.10.10 Thank You's

many “thank yous” to be shared already for 10-10-10! From the parking team to the “ice-getter”… I’m blown away at how many people are coming together to make this day possible! Michael and I are so so thankful for all that everyone is doing! But today, I’m specifically thanking Corey… the best little brother a girl could ask for! Corey and Daddy have been spending every free minute they have working on the house, the yard and doing crazy projects that I come up with.  Just last week I decided that we were going to hang a canvas cluster of our engagement pictures on the side of the HOUSE! ….. Crazy.

Everyone Deserves It

  • Appreciation.

Everyone deserves it.  Michael drove up to my parent’s house and saw all that I have been creating and designing in the “Wedding Warehouse” (aka, our basement) … and his goodnight text included …”you’re doing great, everything looks awesome”.  It was a one-liner but it made my day.  Being appreciated is such a great feeling and it doesn’t have to mean that you’re searching for praise.  Everyone loves knowing that the work they have done hasn’t gone unnoticed.  This rings true in the photography industry as well.  Since I started, there have been photographers that have truly helped me grow in so many ways….
