Connect Retreat Recap

  • Connect 2016 | Winshape Conference Center

Four years ago we flew down to Winshape Conference and Retreat Center in Rome, Georgia with Zach and Jody. We were in the midst of transitioning into becoming a husband and wife team and life just felt crazy. Fast forward 4 years later and life still feels crazy. We thought that that season was going to be our big season of growth. We learned some really big lessons about trust when Michael left his job at the church and joined me. Recently we learned a lot about trust when we bought land and then our house wouldn’t sell for over 10 months. We learned a lot about ourselves and our relationship with the Lord during those seasons.

Ben + Sabrina | Married

  • A Berry College Anniversary Session in Rome, Georgia

I wish I had more time to do anniversary photos. I love these sessions because they are a celebration of the journey that has been completed and the journey that is yet to come! Sabrina contacted me months and months ago about doing portraits at the Connect Retreat. Now, I’ve known these two for a long time. Sabrina came to my workshop WAY back in the day with so many others who are now dear friends of ours!

Michael is Turning 30!!!

  • Happy Birthday!

It feels really surreal to be writing this. I think it’s easier for couples who met each other in the mid-twenties to celebrate BIG birthdays. It’s not weird to celebrate your spouse turning 30 when you met him/her at age 24! When you’ve known your spouse since you were a LITTLE kid, it’s a different experience to celebrate their 30th birthday!! I remember when Michael was TWELVE!!!! We started dating when he was 17!!! And now he’s THIRTY?! It’s so crazy! I’ve literally known my husband my entire life and sometimes I feel like we take that for granted.
