Real Life : New Years Eve Wedding Photographer

  • Missing the Kiss!

This past Thursday was New Years Eve and we did something a little different this year! Our dear friends Calvin and Brittany got married in Richmond and while we normally don’t take on New Years Eve weddings, we do make exceptions for close friend’s weddings!! Not only did we get to spend New Years Eve with some of our best friends, I photographed the wedding WITH my bestie Jilly!!!!! Jill started shooting with me before Michael joined me and we loved it. That’s really when we got super close to Bud and Jill!

  • Here's to an Amazing 2016!

I’m not going to lie…. we were up super late… I didn’t pre-plan a blog post…. we shot a wedding last night…. And so sharing something today wasn’t high on my priority list… until I SAW THIS IMAGE!!!!! Oh you guys, yesterday was a dream! Why? Because I was a second shooter!! I shot a friend’s wedding WITH one of my BEST friends and it was so much fun!!! Not only did we shoot the most gorgeous New Year’s wedding, we also photographed as Richmond’s NEWEST wedding venue, The Quirk Hotel!!!

  • A Year of Joy!

I feel like I’ve been rather vulnerable this week. I’ve shared some fears and frustrations in my post yesterday and today I’m going to do that same. As a photographer… I have the same fear EVERY YEAR. I have a very real fear that I won’t create work that compares or surpasses my work in years past. Not only do I have a fear that I won’t be able to create new work that I’m in love with, I also worry that others will NOTICE! What is my deal?! I think (like many others) I have a subconscious fear of letting people down and not living up to my reputation. However, this is the post that proves that my fears are stupid… every year.
