Joe + Emily | Part 1

  • A Big Spring Farm Wedding | Lexington VA

I don’t even know how to begin this post…. because it’s the most important wedding that I have ever blogged. Today I’m sharing the first half of my sister’s wedding day. It seems surreal just to type that out. I mentioned in my toast that even though weddings are our LIFE, this day was so different from any other. It changes everything when you’re watching your dad walk down the aisle with your baby sister on his arm. It changes everything when you’re the one helping the bride into her dress and holding her train as she walks to her first look. My eyes are still puffy from all of the happy tears that were shed on Friday! I went through so many different emotions on Joe and Emy’s wedding day…. happy, sentimental, photographer-mode, overwhelmed, anxious, thankful, etc. It was a whirlwind!! I had many different roles and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Behind the Scenes 2013

  • The Bloopers

that time of the year again!! Time to show off our Behind the Scenes Bloopers! I personally LOVE seeing everyone’s posts from the backend of their business. The moments we accidentally capture while trying to produce gorgeous, romantic images are quite hilarious!! So while half of the country is shivering in sub zero temperatures, I hope this post provides some comic relief!! We are still in Seattle and are about to host our first ever COACHING HUDDLE and we’re so excited! Enjoy these “Behind the Scenes” from 2013 and try not to judge us. We look a little rough in some of these images!

The New House

  • Foyer Makeover | Stripes & Clocks

wild ideas sometimes. Luckily Michael trusts my crazy ideas and he’s sweet enough to help me make these ideas come life! I said a LONG time ago that I wanted to paint thick, horizontal stripes down the foyer of the new house. I have been envisioning this for such a long time but I knew that I would have to be patient! This was going to be a DIY project for us and it wasn’t going to be easy. Michael and I hosted two cookouts last weekend and that was the perfect motivation to get this project done! Michael bought the paint, the laser level and the tape and he went to town.
