Introducing Micah James Malizia

  • Meet My Nephew!

As I was gathering images for this post, I had moments of thinking “Gosh, is this even real?! My baby sister has her own BABY?!” Oh, it’s very real and it’s so wonderful! We haven’t met our little girl yet, but watching Micah enter the world and become a part of our family was truly amazing. He is so loved!!! We got the call that Emy’s water had broken late on Christmas Eve, and we were 6 hours away! So we did Christmas with Michael’s family, Corey left Christmas celebrations with his fiancee’s family, and we all headed up to PA!

Why We’ve Been MIA

  • The Silver Lining of Gestational Diabetes

Welp…. I haven’t blogged all week, because life has just been crazy around here! About two weeks ago we found out that I didn’t pass my second glucose test. Out of four blood tests, two were too high and so that puts me in the category of having Gestational Diabetes. I’d be lying if I said that I handled this well. In the midst of packing up our life and trying to finish up a house I wasn’t prepared for something else to worry about. I had several meltdowns and part of that was because we didn’t get a lot of info when we first found out. We basically got the call that I didn’t pass and I needed to start perinatal (high risk) appointments. That’s it.

A House Update!

  • We're Almost Done!

We get asked the same two questions these days… when is the baby due and when is the house going to be done. The next question is “So you’re moving in BEFORE the baby comes right?!”. Thank goodness yes. Our move-in date has been pushed back from Thanksgiving, but we WILL be moved in before the baby comes! One of the first people we told about the baby was our builder, because we wanted him to know we had a hard deadline!!! We should be moving in after just a few more weeks if we don’t experience a major roadblock of some kind! We are SO excited!
