• Drew + Kelsey

for the ceremony time to come, I ran around snapping pictures of the church, the shoes, the flowers, the girls… and as I went to take a few of the guys hanging out, I found them in the sanctuary. Drew was on the piano and Paul was playing his guitar. It’s crazy how one instance can remind you of so many things. Seeing these two passing the time by making random music  together is the way I first met them. I feel like every time I went to visit Michael at CNU, these two were either acting absolutely ridiculous or  they were playing guitar. A lot has changed since those days of long weekends at CNU and living on campus. We’re grown up and a lot of us are MARRIED now! Weird! It feels like life is flying by.

However, I’ll be the first to admit that this new phase of life is one of the best so far! As Michael and I have the privilege of being a part of our friend’s weddings, we become SO excited for them to experience MARRIED life!! It’s AWESOME! We’re thrilled for Drew and Kelsey and their wedding day was such a joyful celebration of marriage!! They get it. They understand that marriage isn’t just something we do because “everyone does it”. Marriage is a biblical, God given gift that is a HUGE commitment. As they said their vows, exchanged rings and became husband and wife, it was like the excitement just started building and building. As soon as they were introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Drew Harrell, they danced down the aisle to “Oh Happy Day”. Perfection. I loved every minute of it!!

Drew and Kelsey are a beautiful couple, inside and out. All of their family and friends just kept saying that over and over again. They are just truly genuine people and loved by so many.  They have this way of making each other laugh uncontrollably and it’s GREAT for pictures!!! I love them for it!! Michael and I SO enjoyed being a part of their wedding day and we wish them the VERY VERY BEST!!! Mr. & Mrs. Harrel I hope you’re loving the west coast! Enjoy your time together and have fun looking at your blog post!!

Can I just add that I normally am NOT a fan of church carpet. Churches always pick the weirdest colors for carpet! However, because Canon has amazing color, this carpet matched one of the wedding colors!! Yay!

Kelsey you’re a stunning bride! Wow.

Ummm… can we just talk about how gorgeous their kids will be one day?!! omg.

Michael’s shot! So proud!!

CNU’s campus is absolutely gorgeous… and I know I’m biased… but it’s definitely one of the prettiest schools in Virginia! Just saying.

Michael’s AGAIN! Gosh… He’s getting good!:) One of my favorites!

Love it.

and of course we have to add in a few dancing shots….

Hey! Recognize that guy on the right?! Yup, Nate was on the blog two weeks ago! Tis the season to be married!

Okay. That was beautiful. Katelyn, did you have a piece of the cake? It looked delicious. And the music picture of his face being reflected from the music stand… so artsy! I predicted that this couple was going to to be a hot couple without even seeing their faces and I was right. Win. Way to go Drew and Kelsey on getting married and your dashing good looks!

Katelyn as I was reading this blog I realized that my parents attended Kelsey and Drew’s wedding! Your pictures are beautiful and do not do their descriptions justice as to how pretty her wedding was!

aww, this is so sweet! I agree with the church carpet – it can be so hard to work around! But you did a marvelous job, and it actually looks fabulous. Biased…maybe, but have you ever been to Virginia Tech =]
The wedding looks like it was a blast. You always do a beautiful job capturing the Bride & Groom’s personalities. There is one thing missing…the first look! And Michael was even there to help shoot, it just would have been the most perfect addiction to this beautiful wedding.

um first off… i have been reading your blog litterally for the two days straight!! ha ha. I am NOT a reader, and I’ve been so impressed with your writing, your FAITH, your love for your husband, your work, your readers…anyway. I just wanted to say thank you for your honesty, motivation and for being so down to earth–its refreshing. I’m a new photog that FINALLY got a website up lol and now need to beef up my blog… so I should probably stop reading all your post ha ha (you see what page I’m one) and get to working. God bless you, your poochy and your business both God’s work and photography. :)

Your blog is incredible! I have been reading for quite awhile, but had never seen this post before. I am currently a sophomore at CNU and LOVE it! You did a wonderful job showcasing the love between the bride & groom as well as the beautiful campus at CNU. I hope you will be in the photography business for awhile…you’re definitely my dream wedding photographer!
