As I was working on completing the NEW WEBSITE for the NEW BUSINESS, I found this shot (above) from Adam and Kelley’s wedding a few weeks ago!

That fact that I’m showing you means I love you because it is NOT the most flattering shot! …. but it’s funny for several reasons.  One, I got a lovely case of itchy hives right before the reception and my knees were a lovely shade of light green. Two, I was in a bridesmaid dress which is not the best attire for shooting a wedding and three, the best part is that right behind me were tombstones!! We were shooting portraits in a cemetery! So let this RANDOM Friday post remind you that ANYTHING can be made beautiful and sometimes a good shot is worth a few grass stains.:) Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to become a fan of  KATELYN JAMES PHOTOGRAPHY on FACEBOOK!

Love the “behind the scenes” photo especially with the final product too. Great work Katelyn!

Wow Katelyn! You are soooo committed to your people! But I know that from experience…you nearly froze to death at my wedding!! =) Muah!

I must say the shot has come out real nice. The pose is cool, with some attitude :)

hahaha… this is fantastic!! And i so totally understand what you went through that day. I just shot a wedding in part San Diego, CA & Sandy, UT where I was also one of the bridesmaids. I don’t think a Bridesmaids’ dress ever gets as much use as it does when a photographer wears it! lol
