Evy | 22 Months

  • Evy | Pictures and Memories from 17-22 Months

If I can be honest…. 2018 has been a blur…. really, the last two years have been a blur. I think back to my life, my business, and my work load before having Evy and I was a different person. So much has changed…. so much has happened to me… so much has made me see life differently. I’ve learned to be ok with not getting as much done as I used to. I’ve also learned how to recognize what fires me up and what weighs me down in business and in my personal life. One thing that I had to step back from this past year during our season of losing Baby James was my ability to keep up with our personal family photos.

Ted + Candi | Engaged

  • A Train Inspired Engagement Shoot | Roanoke, Virginia Wedding Photographer

You want to know what I love? I love it when couples do something unique for their engagement session! Not only do I love it when they select unique locations and ideas for their shoot, I also love it when these ideas and locations have sentimental value. Candi emailed me and shared her engagement session idea, and I loved it. Her family has a long history of working for the railroad. For generations, this industry has been a part of her family’s livelihood and a huge part of their story as well. It was a perfect idea to do their shoot at the Virginia Transportation Museum in Roanoke, Virginia. Candi’s cousin let us into the museum and gave us some behind the scenes access to historic engines, and it was so cool to see these massive machines up close and personally!

If you have followed my business for any amount of time, you know that I used to be the blogging QUEEN! I mean, I blogged EVERY week day for close to EIGHT years. Wow. It was quite a commitment….but it was a commitment that was well worth it. The growth that I experienced during those years of blogging was amazing. However, things changed once my first pregnancy took an interesting turn. I literally almost lost a part of my right hand due to a pregnancy-induced tumor that needed to be surgically removed.
