I reassured everyone that surely this storm would pass over quickly. After all, it never thunders for hours and hours unless you’re in the midst of a hurricane! The rain started to come down. It started as sprinkles but then quickly turned into a downpour and we were all a little worried. Sheets of rain started coming in sideways under the porch and we made a game plan to get the bride up to the ceremony area to wait it out. As soon as we made it to the top of the hillside, the rain died down and the sun actually started to peek through the trees! It was so fitting that the bridal party entered the ceremony to “Here Comes the Sun!”. It was a wedding-day-weather-miracle! Not only did the rain stop just in time for the ceremony to take place, but it also dropped the temperature by ten degrees and brought some lingering cloud-cover so that no one had to squint.

I feel like the weather on Logan and Tori’s wedding day was such a representation of life. There will be storms but the sun always comes back out again. The longer I photograph weddings, the more I fully understand the beauty of this celebration.  It’s not just getting a new last name or a new title. It’s obviously not about photos (even though I think they are a TOP priority!). It’s about making a covenant to do life side by side with the person you love the most…. no matter how hard it gets.  I’m so excited to see Tori and Logan start on this new adventure together as husband and wife. Their beautiful day was just a small piece of all of the beautiful adventures they will experience as husband and wife!

We love this sweet family and we loved being the ones capturing the beginning of their story!! Enjoy my favorites from their beautiful, mountaintop wedding!

So thankful that we were able to get you to photograph her wedding. She adores you both and didn’t want anyone else to do this for her wedding day! and neither did I!
