Last week I got an email from Lara Casey asking if I had any recent, practical life examples of how I was “choosing imperfection”. Well, this wasn’t a weird question for me because I know Lara and I know what she means and how she thinks. I’m not putting myself in the same category as Lara Casey…she’s amazing!! … But I do think that we’re similar in the way that our brains work thinking about ideas and business. There are always new ideas and the motivation to GET IT ALL DONE!! …. And yet there is also a struggle to choose life over work.

It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year again. We’re prepping for new weddings, new schedules, new trips, new ideas for the Collection, new speaking engagements!! I thought it would be helpful to see all of our speaking locations in one place! When I look at this list, I really can’t express how honored I am to be a part of these events. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was gearing up for my very first WPPI Platform talk and I was so nervous! I get nervous just thinking about it!! Speaking of WPPI….

  • And What to Expect Next!

True friends are friends that see potential in you and then take a risk to tell you what you should be doing. Tyler Herrinton… without REALLY even knowing me at the time… took that exact risk. Over two years ago Ty told me that I should be doing more with video and I knew it was true but the problem was, I didn’t have anyone who could DO the video work. Well, what a coincidence! Tyler was a videographer!!! He was 100% spot on with his opinion and we are beyond thankful for him.
