Downtown Roanoke Engagement Shoot

  • Tyler + Amy | Engaged

how I had never been to Roanoke before. You you’ve lived in the same state your whole life, you would think that I would have at least driven through Roanoke at some point but I hadn’t! I heard people mention Roanoke and I thought to myself, “Oh, it must be a little town in the mountains”.  I had no idea what to expect! As I drove into the city at 7:45am last Thursday, I was shocked to find that Roanoke is a CITY!! Complete with tall buildings, one way streets and A LOT of hills! Since this was a sunrise shoot (my first one actually!), I was proud of myself for finding my way there!  We all know that mornings are not my favorite part of the day

A Georgetown Engagement

  • Kevin + Maris | Engaged

know it was going to be a great shoot? As soon as Mari showed me her teal polka dot dress! SCORE!! Loved it!! I actually wouldn’t mind finding one of my own… but don’t tell Michael because we just had a budget meeting and extra fun dresses are not on our “necessities” list!   So I met these two at Maris’s parent’s house and we started their session with Patch, their adorable rescue pup that they’ve had for about eight months now. Shepherdstown, WV Wedding Photographer

  • Bob + Jessica | Engaged

emailing for what seems like  YEARS. After months and months of corresponding with Jess, I felt like I knew the girl! As I waited for Bob and Jessica at a small, quaint cafe in Shepherdstown, WV, I thought about how crazy it is to email with someone for SO long and then FINALLY meet them. Maybe it’s just me but I do this thing where I imagine what a person looks and sounds like based on the way they type in an email! That’s all I have to go by and so I had a preconceived idea of Jess’s personality before I even met her!  As SOON as she walked in the door I could  tell that she was exactly how I pictured her. Beautiful, bubbly and a little ball of energy!!
